Cadillac today announced an update to the myCadillac mobile app for iOS that will allow users to integrate data and vehicle functions using their Apple Watch.

The app will automatically appear and sync with the device, allowing owners quick access to commands including: vehicle locate, remote start and stop, lock and unlock doors, activate and cancel horn and lights, and walking directions to the vehicle.

Apple CarPlay is still standard across the full Cadillac lineup, offering drivers quick access to phone contacts, messages, music, and navigation. Wireless phone charging is also available in all Cadillac vehicles, and passengers in the Escalade and CT6 can stream shows from Apple TVs to the rear infotainment screens using HDMI ports and the vehicle’s Wi-Fi connection.

“The Apple Watch integration is another example of the seamless integration of technology Apple aficionados have come to expect from the Cadillac brand,” says John McFarland, director of global digital experience.

Available since 2010, usage of the myCadillac app has increased nearly 50 percent in 2017. It is currently available on every Cadillac vehicle model-year 2011 and newer and provides owners increased connectivity to their vehicles.
