Southfield-based accounting and advisory firm Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP today announced it has relocated to a new office location within the Southfield Town Center.

“We are excited about our move into a new space that will enable us to grow in a more modern and progressive office environment,” says Marina Houghton, managing partner of Baker Tilly. “This new space will allow our people to connect in a collaborative space to better serve our clients.”

Houghton says the firm is moving from One Town Square on Northwestern Highway to the 2000 Town Center building, about one-half mile away. The firm is located on two floors of the building. Farmington Hills-based Davis & Davis Interior Design created the space.

“The new space includes innovative huddle areas and hoteling offices, while maintaining spaces that provide the privacy necessary to the nature of their business,” says Howard David, principal and CEO of Davis & Davis.

He says natural light was optimized with collaborative and public spaces along the perimeter glass.

Chicago-based Baker Tilly entered the Michigan market in 2003, and now has 125 employees with nine partners. The firm also has an office at 300 River Place Drive in Detroit.
