Waséyabek Development Co. in Grand Rapids Names Two to Leadership Roles

Grand Rapids-based Waséyabek Development Co. (WDC), an economic development firm, announced the appointment of Sara Moore and Danielle Smith to leadership positions with the organization.

Moore, a Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi (NHBP) Indians Tribal Member, has been appointed to a four-year term on the WDC board of directors. She has more than ten years’ experience in marketing and communications and currently owns a media company located in Grand Rapids. She also is a member of the NHBP Culture Committee. Moore earned both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Grand Valley State University.

Smith will serve as the vice president of human resources with the firm. She brings with her more than twenty years’ experience in the human resources field at large and mid-sized companies.  Prior to joining Waséyabek, she led the global human resources efforts for Shape Corp., a Tier 1 automotive supplier headquartered in West Michigan. She has an undergraduate degree and a graduate degree from Michigan State University.
