There are scholarships available for high school students, undergraduates, and graduate students. The opportunity will remain open through Feb. 1.

The foundation strives to inspire, prepare, and support the next generation of manufacturing and engineering talent. Founded in 1979, its mission to bring students, educators, industry, and communities together through its SME PRIME schools program.

“We’re committed to supporting students and young people as they build their futures,” says Rob Luce, vice president of the foundation. “The deadline for applying is approaching, and we want to ensure awareness of these scholarships that support hundreds of students every year.”

Students can reapply for scholarships every year. They range from $1,000 to $40,000 and can be used for tuition, books, or lab and course fees. In 2019, the foundation awarded a total of 587 scholarships with $1.65 million going towards the endeavor.
