After completing a bachelor’s degree at Grand Valley State University, she earned a master’s degree in education and human resources development from George Washington University.

Tighe will implement the county’s economic development strategy. She led business development and workforce initiatives at the Michigan Economic Development Corp. and the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. She is currently executive director of the Birmingham Shopping District.
