MISide Community Impact Network in Detroit has appointed four local leaders to its board of directors.
“Each of these individuals brings a unique set of experiences and a shared commitment to uplifting the communities we serve,” says Sean de Four, president and CEO of MiSide Community Impact Network. “Their insights and leadership will help shape MiSide’s future as we continue to meet the evolving needs of Detroit and Wayne County residents.”
The new board members are:
John Edwards, vice president and CFO at Edw. C. Levy Co. He has driven strategic financial growth and innovation at the company. His background includes two decades of global finance leadership across sectors, including manufacturing and aerospace, with an emphasis on compliance, operational efficiency, and strategic planning.
Phillip Fisher, a civic leader and philanthropist with experience in nonprofit governance and community investment that continues to shape Detroit’s revitalization. He most recently served as Chair of the Max M. & Marjorie S. Fisher Foundation and serves on both the Board and the Investment Committee of The Fisher Group. Fisher brings a deep understanding of social impact strategies and public-private partnerships.
Adam Hollier, a former Michigan state senator and assistant professor at Wayne State University with a longstanding history of public service and advocacy. A U.S. Army Reserve captain, Hollier is a passionate champion for veterans, education and equitable development. His leadership was instrumental in funding critical community programs and supporting Detroit’s infrastructure and housing initiatives.
Chris Uhl, executive director of the eastern region at IFF, a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Uhl is a mission-driven lender, real estate consultant and developer. With years of experience advancing community development projects across the Midwest, Uhl’s financial acumen and policy knowledge are vital assets to MiSide’s board.
The new members succeed four directors whose terms expired at the end of 2024. This includes Brad Critchfield, Steve Kosuda, Judge Milton L. Mack, and Cheryl Hawkins.
