
Karen Baldwin, senior vice president and director of human resources at Greenleaf Trust in Birmingham, successfully passed the DiversityFIRST certification program and examination administered by the National Diversity Council (NDC) and has been awarded the NDC Certified Diversity Professional (NDCCDP) designation.
The DiversityFIRST program aims to prepare professionals to create and implement diversity and inclusion strategies for organization excellence. Successful completion of the program includes pre-course readings, a five-day course, and multiple-choice exam.
In her role at Greenleaf Trust, Baldwin leads the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee as well as the Human Resources Division, which is responsible for the day-to-day operations, administration of policies, procedures, and programs.

Baldwin has more than 20 years of experience in the banking industry as well as more than 25 years of human resources experience. She holds her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Western Michigan University.
