Gensler Detroit Names New Managing Director

John Waller has been named managing director for the Detroit office of global design firm Gensler.

Waller assumes the day-to-day leadership responsibilities from Bill Hartman, who has been named client relationships leader for the firm. Previously, Waller served as co-director of the Detroit office alongside Hartman.

Waller, of Grosse Pointe, holds a bachelor’s in environmental design from University of Missouri-Columbia, and a Master’s of Architecture from The University of Kansas.

 

Hartman is a nearly 20-year veteran of the firm with nearly 35 years of architecture and design experience, Hartman has served on Gensler’s management committee and built crucial relationships across numerous practice areas, most notably in the automotive industry.

Hartman, also of Grosse Pointe, has a bachelor’s and Master’s in Architecture from the University of Michigan.
