Franklin Wind Energy Debuts New Vertical Axis Wind Turbine at AWEA

FRANKLIN, Mich., May 08, 2009 – Franklin Wind Energy Group unveiled its latest wind turbine product this week at the AWEA Windpower 2009 conference in Chicago. The machine is a vertical axis wind turbine known as the Franklin VBINE and is capable of producing up to 5 kW of energy. The first turbine was installed last week at Wayne State University in Detroit and the company has announced additional installations starting in July.

Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm added her support for the new product and greeted Franklin Wind’s CEO David Koyle and ‘Ben Franklin’ of the Franklin Wind Energy Group at the AWEA conference this week.

Franklin Wind Energy Group is a renewable energy company based in Franklin, Michigan that sells small wind turbines that can be mounted on residential or commercial rooftops and towers. “The attendees at the Chicago AWEA show have expressed tremendous interest and support for our vertical axis turbine and we plan on aggressively branding our newest product and become the premier provider of small wind turbines in America.” said David Koyle, CEO and founder.
