DESTACO Appoints New President


DESTACO, an Auburn Hills-based automation, workholding, and containment solutions company, has appointed Byron J. Paul as its president.

In his new role, Paul, of Auburn Hills, is responsible for all aspects of the company’s global business including financial, operations, and strategy.

Before joining DESTACO, Paul worked as managing director of John Crane’s Asia Pacific branch. Paul was also vice president of global strategy for John Crane’s Chicago branch where he was responsible for leading and managing business strategies, investor relations, and acquisitions. He also worked with the Boston Consulting Group for 10 years, advising global clients on business strategy and operational transformation

Paul graduated with a Master of Public Administration degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government. He earned his Master of Business Administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and an Honors Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and finance from the University of Western Australia.
