Woofie’s of Farmington Hills, founded in 2025 by Michele Peterson, is a mobile pet service franchise offering pet grooming, dog walking, and pet sitting throughout southeast Michigan.
The company is owned and operated by Peterson, a longtime Farmington Hills resident with more than 30 years of experience in senior leadership roles across automotive and marketing technology.
Prior to launching the local Woofie’s franchise, she held senior executive positions at Publicis Groupe, Ford Motor Co., and other global brands, where she focused on growth strategy, customer experience, and operations. She says she brings that same structured, service-oriented approach to providing reliable pet sitting, dog walking, and grooming.
She is joined in the business by her son, Gabriel, a recent Miami University (Ohio) graduate and a team of groomers, walkers, and pet sitters.

Woofie’s of Farmington Hills offers combined personalized services of pet sitting, dog walking, and mobile grooming, with clients receiving a complimentary initial consultation to identify pet and owner needs.
Woofie’s high-tech mobile grooming spa comes to owners and pets, and Woofie’s offers 24/7 access to vet telehealth for pets in its care (through Pet Vet Connection), as well as the ability to access real-time GPS tracking of pet activity, journals, photos, schedule services, and communicate with providers via the Woofie’s app.
The company is hosting a Paws and Pampering in the Park event at Shiawassee Park in Farmington on Tuesday, June 9, from 3:30-6 p.m.
During the event at Shiawassee Park Woofie’s will offer complimentary nail trims and pet photos as time allows and 10 percent off all new customer bookings. A dog-friendly food truck with homemade treats from Doggie Social Cafe will be on-site, and food, beverages, and its signature mocktail, the Tail-Wagger Spritz and grazing table available for pet parents, as leashed dogs frolic in scenic surroundings.
Woofie’s of Farmington Hills is the third Woofie’s in Michigan, joining outlets in Grand Rapids and Rochester Hills.
