GuardOnGreen is a three-step gardening system introduced by Tim Brown, owner of GuardOn-Green and business development manager at Multiform Plastics Inc. in Macomb Township.

The three-step plant protection system starts with a 17-inch base that eliminates weeding, retains moisture, and protects a plant’s roots. Stake holes and a large flange keep the base in place through extreme weather. Additionally, the base keeps the soil warm in the cold and cool in the heat. In addition, the slanted base is designed to direct rainwater to the plant.
Topping things off, the cloche is a plastic dome that covers the plant, protecting it from animals, insects, weather, and extreme cold and heat. Made with vents and holes to control moisture, the large cloche gives plants room to grow and thrive throughout the season. Five easy-locking tabs lock into the base to provide protection against the wind.
Finally, a stackable fiberglass trellis locks into the GuardOnGreen base and cloche to keep it and the plants level and secure. Each section is offered in 10-inch increments so gardeners can build as their plants grow.
