United Community Family Services (UCFS) in Troy was founded in 1961 and serves more than 12,000 people from low- to median-income households in Michigan annually with the vast majority being immigrants, refugees, and asylees. From the beginning, clients are active participants in determining their goals and developing plans for success. The organization works with children, adults, and seniors, customizing its programs to appropriately support each family and individual. Services include education, food, basic needs for arriving refugees, employment assistance, maternal health, youth sports, and more.
