Spin Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Detroit that provides DJ and music production education for young adults. The organization believes the studied benefits of music on developing minds — including improved motor function, reasoning skills, vocabulary, and mathematics — are invaluable to underserved youth and young adults. Spin offers a variety of DJ courses, along with introductory and advanced courses in the music production software Ableton. Through this, the group intends to enrich the community with creative opportunities for youth which have been eliminated from public school curricula.
