SER Metro Detroit Jobs for Progress Inc. is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Detroit that focuses on skills training and placement into unsubsidized private-sector employment. It offers a wide variety of programs, including literacy and education, job readiness skills training, occupational skills training, vocational skills training, job seeker and employer services, welfare reform, economic and community development, and youth programming. It has grown from serving a small community in southwest Detroit to a multi-service, multi-state organization that serves as a link to gainful employment for a diverse population.
