Old Newsboys’ Goodfellow Fund Annual Tribute Breakfast 2022

The Old Newsboys’ Goodfellow Fund of Detroit hosted its 32nd annual tribute breakfast honoring Tony Michaels, president and CEO of The Parade Co., on Friday, Oct. 21 at Huntington Place in downtown Detroit. Michaels was presented with the Edward H. McNamara Award recognizing individuals who have “significantly contributed to the community.” Funds raised at the event go toward the fund’s effort to provide holiday gift boxes to children ages 4 through 13 in Detroit, Highland Park, River Rouge, Hamtramck, Harper Woods, and Ecorse to ensure none go without a Christmas. It also will provide a dental program for children through the University of Detroit Mercy Dental School, scholarships through Wayne State University, a free shoe program, and summer camp experiences. // Photographs by Patrick Gloria
