Profile
Of the many treasures contained on the grounds of St. Sabbas Orthodox Monastery, perhaps the most surprising is a high-end restaurant. Diners will find plenty of Eastern European classics such as chicken Kiev, chicken paprikash, and borscht. The Polish sampler – a plate of kielbasa, pierogi, latke, and stuffed cabbage – easily rivals those served in Hamtramck. Alcohol is not served, but guests can bring their own wine, with no corkage fee. Tea luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tues. and Thurs. D Thurs.
