New York-based custom rug retailer Ernesta has opened a new showroom in downtown Birmingham.
Located at 138 W. Maple Rd., just west of Pierce Street, the 1,250-square-foot space is designed to offer a hands-on environment where visitors — consumers and design professionals — can explore Ernesta’s selection of wool, natural fiber, and performance rugs.
The location also features a designer lounge for one-on-one design consultations to review rug samples in a collaborative setting.
The Birmingham location is one of three Ernesta is opening in early 2026 in addition to Dallas and Manhasset, N.Y.

Hours for the new Ernesta showroom are Mon.-Sat. from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sun. from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
