Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants, a lifestyle brand centered around food and wine, has announced the opening of its third location in the Detroit area and fifth in Michigan at 17115 N. Laurel Park Drive in Livonia. It is scheduled to open on March 2.
Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants is a fusion of a modern casual restaurant, a Napa-style tasting room, and an artisanal retail market. Headquartered in Downers Grove, Ill., and founded in 2005 by CEO Tim McEnery, Cooper’s Hawk offers a contemporary American menu.
Overall, the brand reports it is home to the largest wine club in the world with more than 840,000 members who enjoy limited-production Wines of the Month, exclusive travel and dining experiences, and a variety of other benefits.
The Livonia culinary team is led by Kariel Smith who works closely with Executive Chef Matt McMillin. The contemporary-American menu is infused with international flavors, and each dish is listed with a bin number, guiding guests to wine selections.
Cooper’s Hawk offers a variety of lunch, brunch, Happy Hour, and dinner options, as well as a dedicated gluten-free menu, kids’ menu, carryout and catering. Popular dishes include:

The winery reports it has received more than 600 wine awards, importing “grapes from the best vineyards across the globe,” and producing 60-plus varietals.
The location in Livonia, near the northeast convergence of I-275 and Six Mile Road, features an indoor dining room with seating for 246 guests, along with a covered patio that accommodates an additional 48 guests.
The venue also houses flexible private dining space for up to 48 guests. As with every Cooper’s Hawk location, the restaurant is fronted by a Napa-style tasting room and retail space.
The hours are Mon. thru Thurs., 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Fri., 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sat. 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sun. 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Other Michigan locations include Clinton Township, Kentwood, Lansing, and Troy.
