Hungry Howie’s, headquartered in Madison Heights, has just opened new stores in Southfield and St. Clair Shores — part of an eight-location metro Detroit area expansion in 2025.
The new Southfield location is at 18213 W. 10 Mile Road and the St. Clair Shores shop is at 27101 Harper Ave.
Hungry Howie’s ranked 150th on the September Franchise Times list of the largest franchise operations in the country. It jumped two positions from its place in 2024.
In August, it had 518 locations across the U.S., 198 in Michigan (now 200), and 193 in Florida, accounting for 75 percent of its operations. The brand also has locations in Arizona, North Carolina, Alabama, Ohio, California, Texas, Utah, and Indiana.
The new Southfield location is led by long-time franchisee Ryan Copus, one of seven co-owners, including his father and brother, of the store. Copus serves as director of finance and administration for the group’s management company, Magna Services Group.
Together, the 15 partners operate 22 other Hungry Howie’s locations in the area, bringing more than 200 years of combined upper management experience. The family-oriented group has deep ties to the community, supporting local schools, churches, youth sports leagues, and city-wide programs.
“By opening the (Southfield) store, we can reach customers who previously did not have a local pizza option, while also giving our existing guests another convenient choice,” says Copus. “We aim to stand out by giving locals an unparalleled experience and embedding ourselves in the community.”
The Southfield and St. Clair Shores are providing limited promotions at part of the openings, including:

- 10: First 50 orders receive a free pizza certificate for a future order.
