Moe’s Southwest Grill, an Atlanta-based fast-casual Mexican restaurant, has announced plans to continue its expansion in metro Detroit and is looking for new partnerships with experienced multiunit franchise owners.
Moe’s currently has eight locations in Michigan, including ones in Ann Arbor, Kalamazoo, Portage, Royal Oak, St. Joseph, Rochester Hills, and two restaurants in Grand Rapids.
“With our recent openings in the Cleveland, Indianapolis, and Milwaukee markets, Detroit represents an important part of Moe’s growth strategy, and we’re excited about the brand’s continued expansion in the region,” says Peter Ortiz, vice president of franchise sales for Moe’s.
The brand’s menu features burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos, salads, burrito bowls, and more. Chips and salsa are also available with every order at no cost.
Founded in 2000, Moe’s, which is owned by franchisor and operator Focus Brands Inc., currently operates more than 650 franchised locations in the U.S., across 39 states.
In 2015, the brand had $640 million in systemwide sales, opened 68 new restaurants, and obtained about 185 new franchise deals.
