Lucido Fine Jewelry to Sponsor Tigers’ Kiss Cam

Lucido Fine Jewelry — a family-owned jewelry retailer with storefronts in Birmingham, Rochester, and Sterling Heights — will sponsor the Kiss Cam at Detroit Tigers games at Comerica Park for the 2016 season.

“We are so excited to be in sponsorship with the Detroit Tigers and the Detroit community,” says Frances “Fran” Lucido, co-founder of Lucido Fine Jewelry. “They came to us and there was no way we could say no … this is our first season, and hopefully (we will have) many more to come.”

Lucido says the Tiger organization selected them for the sponsorship because of the jewelry store’s natural branding fit with the Kiss Cam, and its involvement with charities including the Tigers’ charity event Keeping Kids in the Game — a benefit for children’s heath and youth baseball hosted by two-time American League Most Valuable Player Miguel Cabrera.

The Kiss Cam — started in 2013 — is an event where couples are picked out from the crowd and encouraged to kiss on the team’s 6,000-square-foot LED screen during the middle of the third inning of each game.

Each year the Detroit Tigers choose a song that accompanies the feature to grab fans’ attention. The 2016 season will feature “Kiss On My List” by Hall & Oates. Last year’s song was “It’s Not Unusual” by Tom Jones.

The Kiss Cam team has approximately 60 seconds between innings in order to carry out the event with four cameras. The winning couple is determined by crowd applause and receives a $100 gift card to Lucido’s.

Couples will also be able to post pictures of themselves kissing at the ballpark to #lucidokisscam on Twitter.

The Detroit Tigers is also partnering with Comerica Bank for Comerica Park Perks, a program that provides special benefits such as VIP gate entrance, pregame parties, ticket giveaways, and discounts for Comerica Bank customers. Each home game, Comerica customers will have access to exclusive VIP game-day opportunities by showing their Comerica Bank debit, ATM, or credit card.

Benefits include early entry to Comerica Park to watch batting practice, access to pregame parties every Saturday home game at Cheli’s Chili Bar; and ticket discounts for select games.
