Herbalife Nutrition will conduct its 2022 North American Extravaganza for its independent distributors from July 15-17 at Ford Field and Huntington Place in downtown Detroit.

The conference, which is expected to draw up to 25,000 attendees, will focus on training and education and is open to all North America Herbalife Nutrition independent distributors. The company was founded in 1980 and is active in 95 markets.

“Herbalife Nutrition is excited to bring the Extravaganza to Detroit because the energy of the event perfectly matches the vibrancy of the city,” says Ibi Montesino, senior vice president and managing director for Herbalife Nutrition, North America. “This year’s Extravaganza will highlight our leadership in the nutrition industry and bring the highest level of thought leadership to attendees.”

Herbalife Nutrition’s Extravaganza is one of more than 100 meetings, sporting events, and conventions that Visit Detroit (The Detroit Metro Convention and Visitors Bureau) has secured for the metro region for 2022. The events will bring over 200,000 attendees and more than $200 million in direct spending to Oakland, Macomb, and Wayne counties this year.

“There is always something to discover, uncover, and rediscover in Detroit,” says Claude Molinari, president and CEO of Visit Detroit. “Visit Detroit is thrilled to welcome Herbalife Extravaganza, and we know that hotels, restaurants, and small businesses throughout the region will roll out the red carpet for attendees and highlight why Detroit is the place to bring conventions, meetings, and events.”

Visit Detroit is a private, not-for-profit organization that markets and sells the metropolitan Detroit area on a worldwide basis as a destination for leisure and business travel, including conventions, trade shows, corporate meetings, tours, and incentive travel to maximize additional visitors, visitor expenditures, state and local tax revenues, and job opportunities.

More than 700 businesses are represented in the DMCVB’s membership. The DMCVB was founded in 1896, and is the world’s first convention and visitors bureau. For more information, go to visitdetroit.com.
