Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) Detroit, the local chapter of the 16,000-member global entrepreneurial community that offers its members direct peer-to-peer learning, connections to experts, and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, today announced Cassandra Worthy will be a keynote speaker at XCentric 2023.

XCentric co-chair and EO Detroit President Jenny Feterovich made the announcement. Worthy joins Earvin “Magic” Johnson as one of the first two speakers announced for the event, to be held Oct. 2-4. The Westin Book Cadillac will serve as XCentric’s home base.

Worthy offers companies customized keynote and workshop programs, and is the author of “Change Enthusiasm.” She creates and cultivates strategies of Change Enthusiasm, the brand for which she is founder and CEO, and is a global keynote speaker and a consultant. Her talks often cover how to harness the power of emotion to embrace and accelerate change and transformation.

“As entrepreneurs, we live for change, evolution, continuous improvement, growth, and even controlled chaos,” says Feterovich. “We are built for it. We also know that the same thing that fuels us can incapacitate our managers and team members. Cassandra promises to provide us with the strategies and tools that can help us bring our drive for continuous improvement and our team members’ enthusiasm for that change in alignment.”

Each year, one chapter in the Central Region of the United States is selected to plan and host a multi-day event for 600 entrepreneurs. The annual immersive events include powerful speakers, offsite experiences, engaging socials, and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

“Our theme coming out of COVID-19 is Amplify,” said Feterovich. “We have a powerful group of high-growth entrepreneurs flying in from around the world ready to accelerate their businesses and experience the very best of Detroit. We take very seriously our responsibility to ensure that we provide once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our guests and that they return to their respective cities and countries bragging about their time in Detroit.”

In addition to the Westin Book Cadillac, EO Detroit is in negotiations to host some offsite experiences and social events at other locations.

“We are committed to making this the best EO regional event ever held,” says event co-chair and incoming EO Detroit President Andrew Kuhn. “Securing Cassandra and Magic sets the tone for future event announcements and demonstrates that we are serious about curating an event that has attendees talking about it for the next decade.”
