JARS Cannabis in Troy today became Michigan’s first multistate operating cannabis retailer to go fully recreational in three states across the U.S.: Arizona, Colorado, and Michigan.
The strategic move provides JARS with the ability to serve 161,000-plus recreational consumers across Michigan, which will help the company achieve its goal of providing affordable and accessible cannabis products in an ever-changing consumer market.
According to Michigan’s Cannabis Regulatory Agency, recreational sales increased by 60.1 percent over the last year, while medical cannabis sales dropped by 61.5 percent, demonstrating a shift in Michigan’s consumer market. JARS’ decision to go fully recreational reflects that shift.
“We’re thrilled to be making history as Michigan’s first MSO retailer to go fully recreational in three states,” says Raymond Abro, chief operating officer at JARS Cannabis, which was established in 2020. “This is a major milestone for our company and a testament to our dedication to staying ahead of the curve in an increasingly competitive industry.
“We’re excited to be able to serve the needs of the growing number of recreational customers in Michigan, and we’re confident that our products and services will continue to exceed their expectations.”
To commemorate its shift to being fully recreational, the cannabis retailer will host three consecutive grand opening celebrations in Michigan, which will take place at the following locations beginning at 10 a.m.:
- JARS West Detroit (March 24)
- JARS East Detroit (March 31)
- JARS Saginaw (April 7)
Each grand opening celebration will feature local food trucks, limited-edition swag giveaways, exclusive vendor deals, and 31.3-percent-off storewide promotions. Customers are encouraged to meet with JARS’ staff during the grand opening celebration events to shop limited-edition deals and learn more about cannabis consumption and products.
