D&V Electronics Opens Detroit Technical Center

Canada’s D&V Electronics, a wholly owned subsidiary of California’s Motorcar Parts of America, will expand its presence in North America with a technical center in the Detroit area. Canada’s D&V Electronics, a wholly owned subsidiary of California’s Motorcar Parts of America, will expand its presence in North America with a technical center in the Detroit area. Specifics of the center’s location and size were not disclosed, and the Detroit location is not yet listed on D&V’s website.

The center will offer electric powertrain testing, on-site engineering support, training, and demonstration sessions to increase understanding of the D&V Electronic test solutions portfolio. D&V’s U.S. engineering, sales and services will be located at the Detroit location.

The location will offer its services to automobile manufacturers.

Founded in 1997 and acquired by Motorcar Parts of America in 2017, D&V has customers in more than 90 countries. It designs and manufactures testing solutions for performance, endurance, and production of components in the electric powertrain.

Motorcar Parts of America, which remanufactures, manufactures, and distributes automotive aftermarket parts, has customers in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, with facilities located in California, New York, Mexico, Malaysia, China, and India. It has administrative offices in California, Tennessee, Mexico, Singapore, Malaysia, and Canada.
