The Detroit Regional Partnership, an economic development organization focused on marketing and growing the 11-county Detroit region, has launched a digital advertising campaign promoting the region to business leaders across the globe.

The campaign, the cost of which was not provided, follows a rideshare driver and native Detroiter touring the city, highlighting its automotive industry, startup community and skilled workforce.

The program began on Nov. 3 and runs through February in the U.S., UK, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria.

Launched in 2019, the Detroit Regional Partnership (DRP) is a public-private, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit economic development partnership focused on marketing and business attraction for the 11-county Detroit Region.

“Detroit is widely regarded as the epicenter of mobility, but too few are aware of what the city has to offer beyond that,” says Maureen Donohue Krauss, president and CEO of the DRP.

“From our tech talent and advanced manufacturing capabilities to our close proximity to so many major metropolitan areas, Detroit is helping to shape the future of manufacturing. With this campaign, we’re inviting business leaders across the world to join us on this journey.”

The campaign showcases an industrial network that blends Detroit’s history as the Motor City with the tech-forward innovation community. Among the region’s many highlights, it boasts the busiest northern border crossing in North America, a flat 6 percent Corporate Income Tax, and a workforce to support business expansion.

The DRP helps to grow the region by guiding companies through these expansions. The organization acts as a single point of contact throughout the process, preparing industrial sites for development and connecting inbound companies with relevant resources and comprehensive incentive packages.

Since 2020, the DRP states it has helped attract 121 projects that created an estimated $9.4 billion in investment and more than 36,500 jobs. The ongoing campaign is an important continuation of those efforts and increasing awareness of the region’s offerings.
