Gage Growth Corp., a cannabis brand and operator based in Detroit, has opened its 11th dispensary in the state with a location in Kalamazoo.

“We look forward to bringing our portfolio of nationally-recognized brands, as well as our approachable retail experiences, to both new and returning customers in Kalamazoo,” says Fabian Monaco, CEO of Gage.

Monaco says, the dispensary, at 3825 Stadium Dr., will offer Gage’s diverse selection of cannabis products — including exclusive strains of flower, pre-rolls, edibles, concentrates, accessories, and apparel — alongside products from California rapper Berner’s Cookies brand, with which Gage has an exclusive Michigan licensing partnership.

The new store will host a special grand opening weekend on Jan. 7 and 8, offering several promotions and events. Some of these include the opportunity to win a vacation and a brand activation featuring Jam Master Jay’s cannabis company.

As part of the company’s stated commitment to creating a more inclusive cannabis business community, Monaco says, Gage will donate a portion of its grand opening sales to the Canna Social Equity Fund, a non-profit organization affiliated with the State and Internal Revenue Service dedicated to funding comprehensive community development projects.
