The restaurant group Prime Concepts Detroit has opened the doors of its latest concept, Aurora Italiana in West Bloomfield Township.
The group is behind Prime29 Steakhouse, NARA Sushi & Hibachi Lounge, PAO in downtown Detroit, Tribu Mediterranean, Nara Miami, and the Wabeek Club. Aurora Italiana is located near the corner of Maple and Orchard Lake roads and offers dishes based on recipes from Italy’s Amalfi Coast.
Its menu was created by the Prime Concepts Detroit corporate culinary team. Stolion “Stoli” Liti, managing partner and director of operations at Prime Concepts Detroit, will oversee the restaurant’s operations.
The menu features dishes from the island of Capri, including tableside Caesar salad, tableside tiramisu, veal chop Milanese, and whole roasted Dover sole.
“Our guests are going to enjoy an elaborate dining experience, paired with striking and unique décor, exceptional entertainment and, of course, our shareable moments,” says Joe Barbat, CEO and chairman of Barbat Holdings. “We aim to provide an unforgettable experience that is high-energy and memorable for all.”
The 8,500-square-foot space has recently undergone a complete renovation, led by Art Harrison Interiors, the Royal Oak-based design team behind all Prime Concepts Detroit’s other restaurants. Unique design features include custom murals by The Detroit Wallpaper Co., and commissioned artwork.
Aurora Italiana also features a banquet facility for private events accommodating up to 350 guests. The space will have a private bar, lounge seating, flexible floorplan, private valet, full audio-visual capabilities, private restrooms, custom menus, and more.
Additionally, Aurora’s patio, which is both covered and heated, seats up to 70 guests and features a fireplace and TV. The patio can also be reserved for private events, accommodating up to 100 people strolling.
“Whether you’re looking for a romantic evening or a family gathering, we promise to provide you with an unforgettable dining experience,” says Stolion. “It is our mission to share the warmth and hospitality of Italian culture, one plate at a time.”
Initially, the hours of operation will be Sunday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Monday 4 to 10 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. to midnight, and closed Tuesdays. The restaurant is located at 6199 Orchard Lake Rd., just north of W. Maple Road.
