Taystee’s Burgers, a gas station-inspired restaurant concept started in Dearborn Heights in 2014, has announced its plans for expansion by offering franchise opportunities across metro Detroit.
“We want to offer a franchising opportunity and experience unlike anything done before with our gas station model,” says Ali Jawad, founder of Taystee’s Burgers. “We have had awards and accolades about our great food, and we want to offer this opportunity to others looking to elevate their businesses and grow.”
Taystee’s Burgers franchise model includes a small real estate footprint, with low buildout and operational costs. To learn more, Taystee’s Burgers will host a franchise launch celebration on Wednesday, Sept. 28, at 7 p.m. at its original location, 26350 Ford Rd. in Dearborn Heights.

The Taystee’s menu features fresh, never frozen, halal burgers, hot dogs, wings, bowls, sides, and desserts. The restaurant business has received several accolades, including the title of Detroit’s Best Burger in the 2016 Detroit Burger Brawl.
The customizable burgers include the Taystee’s Original, topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle, America cheese, grilled onion, and Taystee’s Original Sauce on a brioche bun; the Mac Attack, topped with American cheese, mac ‘n cheese bites, coleslaw, tomato, and Taytee’s Spicy Mayo on a brioche bun; and the Taystee Volcano, topped with lettuce tomato, jalapeno, jalapeno poopers, beef bacon, pepper jack cheese, nacho cheese, and Taystee’s Spicy Mayo on an onion bun.
The Hawaiian Bowl features shredded kale, grilled onion, mixed cheese, grilled pineapple, Taystee’s Teriyaki Sauce, and a choice of grilled or crispy chicken, a beef patty, or a veggie patty.
A variety of wing sauces are available, like buffalo, barbeque, and ranch teriyaki. Sides include onion rings, mozzarella sticks, hand-cut fries, cheese fries, jalapeno poppers, chicken strips, and bacon cheese fries.
In addition to Dearborn Heights, Taystee’s Burgers has a location at 10419 Ford Road in Dearborn, while a location in Ann Arbor at 2689 Ann Arbor-Saline Road is opening soon.
