Whisker in Auburn Hills, which in July became the official litter box partner of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, and Detroit Lions, has announced part of its line of connected pet care products is now available at Best Buy stores nationwide.
The Litter-Robot 4, available in black and white, will be the first self-cleaning litter box available for Best Buy customers. It is now available in more than 200 stores and online at BestBuy.com.
In addition, certain Best Buy stores will carry inventory of Litter-Robot 4 in black and white as well as the Litter-Robot 4 Core Bundle, which includes Litter-Robot 4, a fence for keeping litter off the floor, a step for accessibility, a LitterTrap Mat for litter tracking control, wipes, 6 OdorTrap packs, and 25 liner bags.
The in-store experience offers:
- Pickup: 200-plus Best Buy stores will have Whisker inventory for in-person shopping and purchase, and an additional 250-plus stores will offer online pickup.
- Demo: Whisker displays will showcase a demo video that plays on a loop above the Litter-Robot 4 with a QR code for shoppers to learn more.
- Customer experience: Best Buy locations will feature a 4-foot Whisker experience and allow customers to interact with the Litter-Robot in person.
Whisker also is available in select locations at Hollywood Feed nationwide as well as at Chewy.com, Costco.com, Target.com, Petsmart.com, select PetSmart locations, Walmart.com, and litter-robot.com.
Whisker offers connected pet care and pet accessories, with a portfolio that includes Litter-Robot, Feeder-Robot, and Litterbox.com. The company reports it has sold more than 1.5 million robots since its launch in 2000 by inventor Brad Baxter, who had two cats of his own. Whisker also has a location in Juneau, Wisc. Overall, it has 575 employees.
