Javier’s Downtown, a Latin steakhouse experience, has opened at 1452 Brush St. in the former Le Culture Café space. The location is east of Music Hall Center for the Preforming Arts and the Hilton Garden Inn.
“We created Javier’s Downtown to bring something truly fresh and exciting to Detroit,” says Brian Hanna, owner of Javier’s Downtown. “Our goal was to offer an elevated dining experience that celebrates the depth of Latin cuisine in a way Detroit hasn’t seen before.”
Managed by General Manager Theo Oresky, guests at Javier’s Downtown can enjoy crafted dishes, an extensive tequila list, creative cocktails, and live music. The restaurant can host everything from casual gatherings to special celebrations.
“Our menu combines traditional Latin recipes with premium ingredients and a steakhouse approach, creating unforgettable flavors,” says Oresky. “We want people to experience the unexpected and discover the richness and diversity of Latin cuisine, right here in Detroit.”
Signature dishes include:
- Carne Asada Prime Rib — a 16-ounce, slow-roasted prime rib served with a spicy mole sauce, charred jalapeños, and avocado crema.
- Blackened Salmon & Shrimp — house-seasoned salmon topped with Gulf shrimp and served with mango salsa, Spanish rice, and black beans.
- Chipotle Pork Enchiladas — slow-roasted pork enchiladas topped with smoked queso and served with Spanish rice and black beans.
