A former office building in Troy has been transformed into Lindsey Living Apartments, a new residential community offering 62 residences.

The redevelopment converted an 88,000-square-foot office building, while construction is currently underway on a new five-story building that will add 94 additional units when complete. Together, the two buildings will provide a total of 156 residences.

“Lindsey Living shows how thoughtful redevelopment can meet evolving housing needs while strengthening local communities,” says Larry Cradit, vice president of operations for DTN Management Co. in Lansing. “This project brings modern, well-designed homes to a growing part of Troy.”

Lindsey Living offers one- and two-bedroom apartment homes — one-bedroom units range from 878 to 1,100 square feet and two-bedroom layouts range from 1,091 to 1,417 square feet of space.

Each residence features open layouts, durable plank flooring, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, soft-close cabinetry, and in-unit laundry. Select units include skylights, backlit bathroom mirrors, and glass walk-in showers. Walk-in closets and free parking are standard in every home.

Residents have access to a range of community amenities, including a fitness center, a business center, a community room, EV charging stations, and secure fob key access. The property is fully pet-friendly and includes a dedicated pet grooming station for resident convenience.

Move-ins have already begun. Located near the Somerset Collection, downtown Birmingham, and a variety of restaurants and cultural attractions, Lindsey Living offers easy access to major highways and is situated within Troy’s nationally recognized, high-performing public school district.

The building is located at 2690 Crooks Rd., just south of Big Beaver Road.

“I am excited to see the transformation of Lindsey Centre into Lindsey Living,” says Troy Mayor Ethan Baker. “The transformation of this underutilized office space into housing options not only aligns with the city’s long-term planning vision of transforming the Big Beaver Corridor to world class status, but also creates additional opportunities to live, work, and play in our community.”

The development team includes Birmingham-based Biddington Architecture, which led the design and planning; and Tower Construction in Bloomfield Township, which managed construction.

The project marks DTN’s ninth property in the southeast Michigan market, including communities in Southfield, Royal Oak, Brighton, Livonia, Novi, and Detroit.

“DTN has a long history of creating communities that residents are proud to call home,” said Larry Cradit. “Expanding into Troy with Lindsey Living is an exciting next step for our team, and we look forward to bringing our focus on service, quality, and community to metro Detroit.”
