Drink Roast, founded in Birmingham in 2017, plans to add five locations through 2027, including cafes in Northville, Plymouth, and West Bloomfield along with Austin, Texas, and Holly Springs, N.C.
The company currently has locations in Birmingham and Royal Oak.
“This is a defining chapter for Drink Roast,” says Jesse Dhillon, co-founder and CEO of Drink Roast. “We’ve spent the past eight years refining our vision and building something meaningful in metro Detroit.
“Now we’re bringing that same energy to new cities — places where we can grow our teams, build community, and introduce a café experience that’s welcoming, fun, and rooted in quality.”
Drink Roast offers a range of coffee selections, including espresso, cappuccino, and latte, along with a full breakfast and lunch menu.
Breakfast items include avocado toast, almond butter toast, challah French toast, breakfast burritos, and more. Lunch selections range from chicken artichoke panini, sliced turkey sandwich, prosciutto, veggie wrap, chicken Caesar wrap, and turkey avocado wrap, along with three different salads.
“We’re excited to continue building something that feels real and intentional,” Dhillon adds.
“At the end of the day, it’s about more than just great coffee, it’s about creating spaces where people want to be.”
Dhillon, vice president of Lady Jane’s Haircuts for Men in Birmingham and a licensed real estate agent, was a 2023 DBusiness magazine 30 in Their Thirties honoree. To read his story, visit https://www.dbusiness.com/business-features/30-in-their-thirties/#dhillon.
