To celebrate the 25th anniversary and the final year of production of the Dodge Viper, FCA US is offering five limited-edition models of the vehicle that highlight features from previous Vipers.

“The Dodge Viper has had a great run, and 25 years after it was first introduced, it leaves the supercar world reaching for the records it continues to set,” says Tim Kuniskis, head of passenger cars for Dodge, SRT, Chrysler, and Fiat at FCA North America in Auburn Hills. “With more track records than any production car in the world, the Dodge Viper ACR will live on as the fastest street-legal Viper track car ever.”

Starting on June 24, customers can choose from five special-edition Dodge Vipers — the Viper 1:28 Edition ACR, Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR, Viper VoooDoo II Edition ACR, Viper Snakeskin Edition GTC, and Dodge Dealer Edition ACR.

With a black exterior and painted rear with red stripes, the Viper 1:28 Edition ACR pays homage to the single lap racing record of 1:28:65, which was set in October 2015 by driver Randy Pobst at the Monterey, California-based Laguna Seca Raceway. Nearly 30 units of the Viper 1:28 Edition ACR will be built for the 2017 model year.

The Viper GTS-R Commemorative Edition ACR is designed to pay tribute to the white and blue combination of the 1998 Viper GTS-R GT2 Championship Edition. As many as 100 units of the vehicle, which features carbon ceramic breaks, a red Stryker badge detail, an ACR interior with red accent stitching, a custom car cover, and more, will be built for 2017.

Modeled after the original 2010 Viper VooDoo edition, more than 30 units of the Viper VoooDoo II Edition ACR, which features a black exterior and a graphite metallic ACR driver’s stripe with a red tracer outline, will be produced for 2017.

The original 2010 Snakeskin ACR inspired the green exterior of the new, special-edition Viper Snakeskin Edition GTC. The vehicle features an advanced aerodynamics package, a serialized instrument panel, a Snakeskin badge, and more. As many as 25 units of the model will be produced for 2017.

Nearly 35 units of the Dodge Dealer Edition ACR, which will be available exclusively at Dodge’s highest sale volume Viper dealers, will be produced for 2017. The vehicle features a white exterior with a blue center stripe, carbon ceramic brakes, ACR interior, a custom car cover, and more.

The Viper customization program, which allows buyers to choose from 16,000 exterior color options, nearly 10 wheel options, more than 15 interior trims, and more, will also continue for the 2017 model year.

Since 1992, Dodge and SRT have built 30,000 Vipers at the Detroit-based Mack Avenue Assembly (1992–1994), and Conner Avenue Assembly Plant (1995 –current).
