Detroit Pistons Enhance Mobile App to Upgrade Fan Experience

The Detroit Pistons announced it has partnered with Venuetize, a leader in mobile-first and advanced payment technology, to deliver a new mobile experience to Pistons fans year-round.

With the new technology offering, fans will be able to interact with the team’s brand and enhancements in new ways through the Detroit Pistons mobile app, which is available on the App Store and Google Play store.

“We are excited to give Pistons fans a best-in-class mobile experience with the completely redesigned Official Detroit Pistons app,” says Mike Donnay, vice president of marketing operations for the Detroit Pistons.

“This new app, powered by Venuetize, will provide our fans access to the team through robust content and also an enhanced offering for parking, ticketing, wayfinding, and enabling a cashless payment experience through mobile ordering and a mobile wallet solution.”

The platform features mobile wallet for payments on mobile orders and point-of-sale food and beverage purchases, with opportunities for rewards and incentives for Pistons One members. Other features include mobile ticketing, robust team content, access to traffic, transportation, and parking information, interactive venue apps, and push notifications.
