Illinois-based Crate and Barrel has announced a new location at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi after serving shoppers at The Somerset Collection in Troy for more than 27 years.
The location will open June 3. There are 180 specialty stores and nearly 30 restaurants at Twelve Oaks, and the spot keeps Crate and Barrel within reach of existing customers and brings them closer to Ann Arbor, which is home to many of the brand’s online customers.
The 26,000-square-foot store showcases the largest kitchen department in the brand’s portfolio, a reimagined bedding department, and a space for the services the brand offers in its design studio.
The store assortment is localized for the Detroit area, and the staff emphasizes premium and personalized service, including by-appointment shopping with department experts, gift registry, and more.
Furniture and décor offerings will include new and iconic pieces for kitchen, bedroom, living room, dining room, and more.
The updated store also incorporates locally sourced materials and high efficiency systems for reduced energy use.
“We are so thrilled to open Crate and Barrel at Twelve Oaks,” says Sarah Casalan Bittle, head of stores. “We have had a great experience in the area, and this new space will allow for an inspiring and engaging customer experience, with excellent service and deep expertise.”
An opening day celebration from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. on Thursday, June 3 and will follow COVID-19 guidelines. Guests will enjoy specialty coffee roasts from Zingerman’s.
The store’s regular hours will be from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. on Sunday.
