The Cadillac brand of General Motors Co. in Detroit has delivered a sneak peek at its 2025 entry-level compact SUV — Optiq — the fourth vehicle to join its expanding global electric vehicle portfolio.

For the 2025 model year, Optiq will slot in below the Lyriq, Celestiq, and the forthcoming Symboliq.

“Optiq’s spirited driving dynamics are designed to appeal to global luxury customers,” says Cadillac in a statement. ”Additional details, as well as available features and pricing, will be unveiled next year.”

Cadillac plans to sell Optiq in the U.S., Canada, Europe, the Middle East, and China, whose Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has revealed that the vehicle is slated to measure 189.8 inches long with a 116.3-inch wheelbase.

Automotive trade press prognosticators predict the Optiq will use GM’s Ultium battery packs and likely will ride on similar-size Chevy Equinox EV platform.

It’s also speculated in the trade media that pricing should start in the mid-$40,000 range.
