Eagle Leasing Co. in Woodhaven, a portfolio company of New York’s Kinderhook Industries, has acquired Mobile Storage Inc., a Providence, R.I. provider of storage container and trailer rentals. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition is intended to give Eagle Leasing fleet density and local operating capabilities in the New England market. Ryan Hogan will remain with Eagle Leasing following the acquisition, providing continuity for customers and the local team.
Founded in 1988 by the Hogan family with just two storage containers, Mobile Storage has grown into one of Rhode Island’s largest independent container and trailer rental companies.
The business serves construction, retail, education, and commercial customers across Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Its employees, fleet, and Providence facility will become part of Eagle Leasing, providing continuity for customers while expanding the equipment and resources available to them.
“Mobile Storage has spent nearly four decades earning the trust of its customers by doing the small things right,” says Mike Ferrantino, chief strategy officer at Eagle Leasing. “Bill and Ryan Hogan have built an outstanding local business with a loyal customer base and a well-maintained fleet.
“Bringing Mobile Storage into Eagle gives us an established presence in Providence and allows us to build on what the Hogan family has created while offering customers access to a broader fleet and additional products.”
Bill Hogan, president of Mobile Storage, says, “After 38 years, my brother Ryan and I wanted to find a partner who would take care of our customers and our employees the way we have. “Eagle Leasing shares our values, and we are confident this is the right home for the business we built.”
