Tilted Kilt Sports Pub to Expand in Michigan, Opens in Canton Township in March

Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, a restaurant chain that serves traditional pub fare in an environment modeled after old public houses of England, Ireland, and Scotland, is opening 20 new locations across the Midwest, including one in Canton Township in March, followed by Grand Rapids.

Given Michigan’s rich history of supporting sports teams, Tilted Kilt’s further expansion into the state will likely continue. “With the combination of the Big 10 Conference and the many professional teams throughout the Midwest, there are a plethora of great sports towns in the region,” says Mark Hanby, vice president of franchise development for Tilted Management LLC — the group that owns Tilted Kilt restaurants.

The menu includes Irish nachos, calamari, grilled chicken quesadilla, Shepherd’s pie, Irish stew, Gaelic chicken, an array of hamburgers, sandwiches, and flatbread pizzas. In turn, there are close to 20 beers on tap, including Smithwick’s, Newcastle Brown Ale, Leggy Lass IPA, and TK Lager.

The Canton restaurant, 42059 Ford Rd., will have pool tables, dart boards, and numerous flat screen TVs, along with so-called “Kilt Girls” servers who wear plaid kilt skirts with matching tops.

Tilted Kilt has locations in Sterling Heights and Novi, and today operates 27 locations throughout the Midwest.
