The study analyzed the latest available state-to-state migration data from the U.S. Census Bureau, which detailed where people in each state had been living one year before, to discover how many Americans are moving — and where they’re moving to.
According to the study, the top five states that Michiganders are moving to are Florida, Ohio, Texas, Illinois, and Indiana.
The latest data shows that Florida is the most popular destination for residents moving out of Michigan, with 21,668 people making the move during the year of the study.
