Farmington Hills’ ATA National Title Group Acquired by Florida Firm

Farmington Hills-based ATA National Title Group, along with its subsidiaries and affiliated companies including Talon Title Agency, which has 22 locations mostly in northern lower Michigan, have been acquired by CNL Strategic Capital, a newly formed holding company in Orlando, Fla.

Farmington Hills-based ATA National Title Group, along with its subsidiaries and affiliated companies including Talon Title Agency, which has 22 locations mostly in northern lower Michigan, have been acquired by CNL Strategic Capital, a newly formed holding company in Orlando, Fla.

Dave Trott, chairman of ATA National Title Group, notes that all of the existing equity holders of ATA and Talon also will participate as owners of the holding company, which is sub-managed by Levine Leichtman Strategic Capital (LLSC) in Los Angeles. The management teams of the two companies will remain unchanged.

ATA is a full-service title insurance agency providing comprehensive title and settlement services nationally, with 60 offices across in Midwest states. In addition to ATA and Talon, the company’s brands include: Attorneys Title Agency, GMT Title Agency, Greco Title Agency, Midstate Title Agency, and Seaver Title Agency.

Trott served two terms in the U.S. House of Representatives (2015-2019), where he served Michigan’s 11th District.
