
The next Opening Day will take place on Friday, April 5, 2024, when the Detroit Tigers begin their 2024 home schedule at Comerica Park against the Oakland Athletics, according to next season’s schedule that was released Thursday by the team and Major League Baseball.
A charter member of the American League, the Tigers will mark the 124th season of Tigers baseball and the club’s 25th year at Comerica Park in 2024.
Detroit opens the 2024 season on March 28 at the Chicago White Sox. Following the three games against the White Sox, the road trip continues with three games at the New York Mets from April 1-3.
Detroit’s Biggest Party, Opening Day, presented by Rocket Mortgage, is slated for Friday, April 5 against the A’s.
With the balanced schedule again in effect for 2024, the Tigers will face each MLB team again next season including eight interleague series at Comerica Park. The Los Angeles Dodgers (July 12-14), St. Louis Cardinals (April 29-May 1), and Philadelphia Phillies (June 24-26) are among the National League teams slated to visit Detroit next season. Road interleague series next season include the Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, and San Diego Padres.
Home summer weekend series during the 2024 season include matchups against the Toronto Blue Jays (May 23-26), Los Angeles Dodgers (July 12-14), New York Yankees (Aug. 16-18), and Boston Red Sox (Aug. 30-Sept. 1).
