The Detroit Pistons will host its annual Pistons 313 Day Celebration presented by Ally, a series of team-themed festivities that celebrate 313 Day, a Detroit area code-inspired special day, on Friday, March 13, at 7:30 p.m. vs. the Memphis Grizzlies.
This year’s Pistons 313 Day Celebration tips off outside Little Caesars Arena at 5:30 p.m. with a pregame fan experience in the Chevy Plaza (west side of the venue).
Fans will have the opportunity to play on a Pistons Academy halfcourt basketball activation, receive complimentary sneaker cleaning and exclusive 313 Day shoe customizations from Clean Sneaker Co., and taste test special 313 Day drinks from Cappuccino Man.
Fans also have the chance to take part in a pop-a-shot game courtesy of Ally and receive free giveaways including a 313 Day photo key chain, among other activities.
Upon entry at 6 p.m., the first 3,130 fans will receive a fourth edition of the Pistons 313 Day chain presented by Ally.
As a part of the festivities, Ally will host a hat customization station on the main concourse where fans will be able to create custom hats with patches designed by Ink Detroit (while supplies last).
In addition, Ally will host a local non-profit fair on the upper concourse recognizing six non-profit organizations that were recipients of their “Relentless Player of the Game” donations for their impact throughout metro Detroit.
As a part of the 313 Day celebration, the Detroit Pistons have joined forces with Detroit Pistons Creative Director of Global Experience Big Sean to partner with local Detroit artists for the second rendition of the DETailed Design capsule.
Detroit artists Jay Kopicki, Juliana Rabban, and Dior Leggette worked with Big Sean, who served as the creative director for the project, to showcase the intersections of music, art, fashion, and basketball.
The capsule will feature an in-arena exclusive hat design by Big Sean as well as four t-shirt designs from each artist and Big Sean.
The capsule will be available at Pistons313Shop.com and in the arena at the Team Store at Little Caesars Arena on March 13 (south side of venue).
Pistons’ 313 Day also will feature a special halftime performance by Skilla Baby and the Detroit Youth Choir as well as learn the winner of the Pistons Swag Contest presented by Hutch’s Jewelry crowned during the game.
Four finalists were chosen from the contest’s video submissions for a chance at the grand prize of a $30,000 diamond chain courtesy of Hutch’s Jewelry, a pair of Cartier Wires, a Pistons logo medallion, and a Pistons swag prize pack.
