Centria Autism in Farmington Hills, a leading national provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, has opened a new therapy center in Detroit.
The new facility will expand Centria’s footprint and respond to the need for more quality autism therapy services across southeastern Michigan.
The 20,969 square-foot center at 8000 John C Lodge (a few blocks north of W. Grand Blvd.) opened on June 15 and is currently welcoming new clients. The new location represents Centria’s “commitment to deepening its local roots and improving access to care for families in metro Detroit and beyond.”
“It’s a meaningful moment any time we’re able to expand access to care for a community that needs it, and the opening of this center is especially significant, as it improves our ability to serve the state in which Centria first introduced services 15 years ago,” says Timothy Yeager, chief clinical officer at Centria Autism.
“We’re guided by a firm belief that every child with autism and their families deserves a compassionate partner and asset-based plan to help them achieve their unique personal goals, on their terms, and this new location brings us that much closer to putting that belief into action.”
Centria centers offer individualized treatment plans from a team of Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and Behavior Technicians, prioritizing the development of everyday skills and social behaviors that will allow children with autism to thrive in school, at home, and in their communities.
According to the CDC, one in every 31 kids is diagnosed with autism; illuminating an increasing need for quality behavioral therapy across the board.
In addition to Michigan, Centria also has centers in Arizona, Indiana, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, and Virginia.
