The Bloom Brand, a California-based provider of cannabis concentrates and vape technology, is partnering with cannabis distributor Yield Distribution in Grand Rapids.
Through the new partnership, Yield has an exclusive agreement with Exhale Systems, Bloom’s producer and license partner, to distribute and sell Bloom products across Michigan.
With a presence in key markets such as California, Illinois, New York, and New Mexico, Bloom says it has worked to solidify its position as a leader in it field. The company’s proprietary Surf vaping system is the second-best selling all-in-one vape device in California.
“We know we are only as good as our partners,” says David Vartolomeu, director of business development at Bloom. “And because of that, we seek to work with partners that are equally as committed to excellence and best-in-class execution as we are at Bloom. We were immediately impressed with Yield’s dedication to their company values, strong dispensary relationships and immediate enthusiasm for helping us grow Bloom’s footprint in the Midwest.”
Through this partnership, Yield Distribution will use its statewide retail network and market expertise to introduce Bloom’s line of concentrates to Michigan’s cannabis users. Additionally, Bloom’s seasonal Live and Live Rosin lines will provide Michigan consumers with seasonal rotations of exotic strains. All lines will be available in convenient 0.5g and 1.0g formats.
“We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with The Bloom Brand, a collaboration that goes beyond mere business,” says Aaron Lanctot, CEO of Yield Distribution. “From the outset, it was clear that Bloom not only shared our commitment to delivering exceptional cannabis experiences but also embodied values that resonated with our own. Their dedication to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction aligns seamlessly with our ethos, making them an ideal partner and culture fit for us.”
The partnership comes as travel publication Upgrade Points in Austin, Texas, released its study of the top U.S. destinations for cannabis enthusiasts. Michigan was one of three states spotlighted in the report, along with Vermont and Colorado. The report stated Michigan has enjoyed a progressive “green wave” since legalization and both Detroit and Ann Arbor were placed in the list of top 10 friendly locations for travelers nationally.
The report highlights destinations where travelers can freely enjoy cannabis-friendly accommodations, and its analysis pinpoints the top cities in states where recreational marijuana use is legal.
“Over the years, we’ve seen a lot of legislative change on this issue, so we are happy to assist travelers in finding cities that offer cannabis-friendly tourism,” says Keri Stooksbury, editor-in-chief at Upgraded Points. “Accommodating destinations reflect a broader shift towards more cannabis culture within the travel industry.”
The study selected 50 of the most populous American cities in states where recreational marijuana use is already legal, according to updated data from DISA Global Solutions. It then counted the total number of weed-friendly accommodations using listings from Bud and Breakfast, a marijuana-specific vacation rental site, and Airbnb, applying filters for “smoking allowed” and “entire home.”
To ensure fairness in comparison, the number of listings was normalized to the census population size of each city, calculating the weed-friendly stays per 100,000 residents. The study also computed the average nightly rates across these listings to identify cities with the most and least expensive 420-friendly accommodations.
