Birmingham’s Schechter Investment Advisors Acquires Chicago Area Firm

Schechter Investment Advisors, an independent financial advisory firm headquartered in Birmingham, has announced the acquisition of the majority of assets of Coe Capital Management, extending the company’s geographic footprint to the Chicago area.

Schechter’s offering combines the customized service and independence of a boutique firm with the deep knowledge and resources of a larger institution. The firm’s multi-disciplined team advises high-net worth individuals and families on traditional and alternative investments, private capital, advanced life insurance planning, income and estate taxes, and more.

CCM advisors Paul Wehner and Karen Scott and their client service team are making the transition to Schechter and will continue operating in Highland Park, north of Chicago. CCM also offers advisory services in California and Colorado.

Separately, Mark Coe, president of CCM, will remain fully engaged as president and CIO of Intrinsic Edge Capital Management, an unaffiliated long-short hedge fund in Chicago.
