“Bringing the USA Gymnastics Development Program National Championships to Detroit is exactly the type of opportunity the Detroit Sports Commission works to create for our region,” says Marty Dobek, executive director of the Detroit Sports Commission.

“Major events like this bring athletes, families and fans into our community, support our hotels, restaurants and local businesses, and showcase Detroit to visitors from across the country. We’re proud to partner with USA Gymnastics to bring this championship to Huntington Place and look forward to delivering an outstanding experience for everyone who joins us in May 2027.”

The championships serve as the final competition of the artistic Development Program season, where National Team spots and titles will be won. In addition to individual medals, men’s Regional Team and club champions will be determined, while the women see a Super Team crowned.
