A new fast casual burger concept is in the works on Woodward Avenue in Bloomfield Hills. Chef Goran Dimic and Brandon Gorgies of G&B Hospitality (Naked Burger, Berkley Common) are opening their fourth location, called Patty & Press.
The 2,200-square-foot space will seat up to 35 guests and serve grass-fed smashburgers, hand-cut fries, milkshakes, and more.
The owners expect Patty & Press Smashburgers will open by the end of May, and serve lunch and dinner seven days a week. Guests will be able to pre-order online or use one of the restaurant’s kiosks or walk-up service.
“We’re really excited to bring this new concept to the Bloomfield and metro Detroit
communities,” says Goran. “Since the local success of Naked Burger, we’ve been dreaming and scheming of perfecting our version of the perfect smashburger, featuring only grass-fed beef, no seed oils, and the best ingredients we can get our hands on. It will be an indulgent experience, but one that doesn’t leave you feeling heavy.”
The menu at Patty & Press will feature a series of grass-fed smashburgers with beef sourced from Fairway Packing Co., located at Eastern Market in Detroit, as well as hand-cut fries and onion rings fried in peanut oil with a beef fat option.
The menu will be rounded out with a truffled fried chicken sandwich, milkshakes, salads, mozzarella sticks, and fried mac-n-cheese.
Goran and Brandon (both 30 years old) got their start in Clinton Township, after opening Naked Burger in 2017. From there, they opened a Naked Burger location in Rochester. Last fall, the two took over operation of the popular gastropub, Berkley Common (3087 12 Mile Rd.).
Patty & Press is located at 42767 Woodward Ave. in Bloomfield Hills (just south of Square Lake Road). The restaurant also will deliver via UberEats, GrubHub, and DoorDash. Additional details about the grand opening details will be announced shortly.
