DexKo Global Inc., based in Novi, announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Dexter Axle Co. has acquired 100 percent of the equity interests in Redneck Inc. and Redline Products, headquartered in Springfield, Mo.

DexKo Global was founded in 2015 through the combination of Dexter and AL-KO Vehicle Technology. The company employs more than 5,000 people and has 44 production facilities and 23 distribution centers.

The company manufactures trailer axles and trailer brakes for utility trailers, recreation vehicles, heavy duty, manufactured housing, agricultural, marine, and specialty trailer applications.

Since 1979, Redneck has supplied trailer axles and other trailer components across North America. The company operates in 20 locations in 17 states and employs nearly 400 people. Redneck distributes thousands of stocked trailer parts and accessories to manufacturer, dealer, and retail customers.

It serves the utility trailer, recreational vehicle, marine, heavy-duty, agricultural, and specialty equipment manufacturers and distribution centers.

The partnership between Dexter and Redneck is intended to offer opportunities to enhance service with an expanded geographical footprint and provide better coverage to customers with a diverse product portfolio.
